RED STAR EXPRESS HOLDS CUSTOMERS FORUM

 FedEx Employee Brings Gun to Warehouse, Shoots Six Co-Workers
.Red Star Express Plc, the foremost courier and logistics services solution provider in Nigeria, today, holds its 19thCustomers Forum at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event, which is organised annually and used as a platform to connect with customers and appreciate them, was attended by over 200 Red Star customers across Nigeria. The theme for this year’s event was “Managing Technology and Innovation: Social Media, a plus or minus for customer engagement.”

The Managing Director at Red Star, Mr. Sule Bichi, said that Red Star strategically chose the theme for this year’s Customers Forum, with the hope and intention to avail their esteemed customers, the opportunity to learn, share; and empower them adequately while adding value to their respective communities and businesses.

“What we are doing today is to re-assure you of our promise of continued service improvement and development of mutually beneficial relationship among all Red Star Express stakeholders. Our goal is to absolutely and positively make every experience with us outstanding by doing whatever it takes to satisfy our customers,” he stated.

He further revealed that, based on the growing needs of today’s business, Red Star Express has made major advances in its operations to enhance the ease of doing business. “In recognition of the ever changing needs of our customers, coupled with the wind of E-commerce that is fast blowing across the world and the recent landmark events in the power sector, we are making huge investments in the areas of technology, manpower, vehicle fleet and equipment,” Mr Bichi added.

The Red Star boss also explained that the company started operations over twenty-two years ago, with just a handful of customers, and has grown to over 15,000 corporate and retail clients across all sectors of the economy.

The interactive session, chaired by the keynote speaker, the CEO of Diamond Bank Plc, Mr. Uzoma Dozie, showed strategic importance of Technology Innovations and management of Social media for customers’ engagement.

He stated that, “the benefits of Social Media marketing is so huge in increasing brand recognition, effective referral system, creates opportunity to engage customers, improve customers’ insight of the company and also lower marketing cost.” 
The participants were exposed to interactive lecture, networking opportunities and lots of entertainments. The highlight of the event was the raffle draw where some customers emerged winners with various prizes, ranging from a return air ticket to Europe, refrigerators, standing fans, canon camera, iPhones, plasma TVs and other numerous prizes from event partners – GNLD, Forever Living Products, StarTimes and Enplug Africa.
