NIGERIANS WHILE PREPARING FOR THE LAST ELECTIONS
A legal war has ensued
over the outcome of the recently concluded governorship elections held
in Taraba state in Nigeria.
In an exclusive phone interview from Jalingo,Taraba
State,The Head Media and Communications of David Sabo Kente Campaign
organization of the Social Democratic Party [S.D.P.],Mr Henry Ibya has said
that the newly sworn in governor ,Chief Darius Ishaku has been sued over what
they believe was a clear case of broad daylight robbery.
He explained that his boss,Chief David Sabo Kente has taken
his battle for justice to the conventional courts and not the election petition
tribunal.
He did not give any reason as to why they sued at the
Federal High Court but he nonetheless insisted that Chief Darius Ishaku was
wrongfully installed as the P.D.P. candidate at the primaries held in Abuja .
He pointed out that due to this aforementioned reason his
boss was disenfranchised as a result and had to look for another political
platform to exercise his fundamental human rights to contest the last polls.
In a related issue,an estimated 120,000 invalid voters detected
by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission [I.N.E.C]are
believed to belong to the Social Democratic Party.
In an exclusive phone interview with the News Office Desk of
Paedia Express Multimedia ,The Head Media and Communications ,David Sabo Kente
Governorship Campaign Organisation for the 2015 elections ,Mr Henry Ibya said that Chief Kente has continued to call
for the cancellation of the poll result
in the state because it fell far below acceptable standards globally.
Mr Ibya in his response to questions on the polls, blamed the independent National
Electoral Commission [INEC] and members of the law enforcement agencies for
allowing themselves to be used severely to rape democracy .
He painted a gory picture of the entire exercise as he
lamented the various rigging tactics employed by party thugs and supporters of
the two leading political parties like the All Progressives Congress[A.P.C.]
and the Peoples Democratic Party[P.D.P.]
He affirmed that because of the incumbency factor enjoyed by
the aforementioned duo,they both rigged the elections in there respective area
of electoral strength.
He revealed that despite the perceived injustice done to
his principal ,Chief David Sabo Kente they
were not planning to ditch the current
arrangement to go into any form of coalition with any other political group in
the future in the state.
In a related issue,an insight into why Chief Darius Ishaku
of the Peoples Democratic Party [P.D.P.]was elected Governor of Taraba State
has started to emerge .

Organization,Mr Henry Ibyasaid in his soft spoken voice that Chief Ishaku won
only because the people feared General
Theophilous Yakubu Danjuma ,Former Nigerian Army Chief of Staff and Minister
for Defence on account of his clout
nationally and nothing else.
He assured that since the people felt the war time hero had
always supported them during land skirmish with other rival tribes like the
jukuns and the Tivs,the Sabo Kente team were helpless against this sentiments.
According to him the religious cards was also played to the
latter as the state was mainly dominated by Christians and this was why the woman who ran for
governorship under the ticket of the All Progressives Congress [A.P.C.] would
never have won as she was a muslim.
He revealed that his boss ,Chief David Sabo Kente ,a former
Director of the National Assembly who ran for the governorship seat in Taraba
state in 2015 under the banner of the Social Democratic Party ,finishing a
distant Third Place had travelled abroad shortly after the conclusion of the
polls for what was believed to be a period to rest after the pains of a very
grueling electioneering campaign.
Mr Ibya who is on leave from of absence from the E.N.M.

Executive Director and Head Northern Division pointed out that he and others in
Chief Kente’s organizations were waiting for their boss’s return from his
overseas trip as at the time in May,2015
He thanked members of the Nigerian press for all the
coverage they gave his team during the course of the 2015 General elections.
When probed as to whether General Danjuma apart
from his deep pocket was instrumental to the creation of the state ,he
simply said yes in a terse reply in an
eight minute phone conversation recently
