When we saw
newspaper publications of the Supreme Court judgment back in April,2018,we at
The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of
Lagos,Nigeria saw it as a ploy by the system to set aside the ruling
temporarily so that Nigeria could participate at the World Cup still holding in
Russia as at press time.
We always
knew that whenever The Super Eagles of Nigeria make their way out of Russia the
leadership tussles which has being on
for some time and which is not in the best interest of Nigeria will continue..
To start
with,we must commend Mr Chris Giwa displaying an excellent trait of good
leadership by going through a rigorous legal tussle that has taken him up to
four years to get a tangible result from upon which a judgment has since being
entered in his favours at the Supreme Court..
We find it
very strange that the current leadership of the Federation of international
Football Association]F.I.F.A] under Mr Gianni infantino that says it wishes to
stamp out all forms of corruption and discrimination in the sport has allowed
this type of daylight robbery against Mr Giwa's aspirations.
We even
find it very strange that Mr Giwa's decision to seek for justice in a law court
over what apparently was a flawed electoral process for the position of
Presidency of the Nigerian Football Federation[N.F.F] at the time he did has
now made him a target for public humiliation
and with a conscious and deliberate effort being made by the entire
football family to wipe him away from existence for his protests against
injustice.
We think it
rather injurious and dishonorable by the refusal of the Amaju Pinnick 's camp
not to work out any form of truce via an out of court settlement despite
knowing that they stole victory from Mr Giwa and with the nation's interest at
stake.
The Supreme
Court of Nigeria 's judgment on the case is very brilliant but that of the Court of
Arbitration on Sports and Fifa on the
same case is nothing but highly
unfortunate and avoidable if the two bodies were truly interested in dispensing
justice without a bias.

HONEST JURIST WHOSE BELLY IS NOT HIS GOD SHOULD HAVE ADVICED HIS CLIENT TO
SETTLE OUT OF COURT ON THE WEIGHT OF THE EVIDENCE ON HIS TABLE.

SHOULD MAKE NO FURTHER STATEMENTS SO AS NOT TO DESTROY EFFORTS AT REACHING A
TRUCE ON THE MATTER WHICH HAS BEING LONG DRAWN..
