.N.F.F FIASCO:$8 MILLION F.I.F.A LARGESSE TEARS COMMUNITY
INTO SHREDS
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU
The current leadership tussle bedeviling The Nigerian
Football Federation [N.F.F.]is taking its shape in a very different dimension as the hydra headed situations threaten to
tear Nigeria's number one public relations tool into shreds.
In an exclusive chat with The News office Desk of the
E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria,an impeccable source has
said that except concise structures are put in place in the management of
soccer in Nigeria then the future of the sport was very bleak...
Going down the memory lane ,the source took a swipe at both
Mr Amaju Pinnick and Mr Chris Giwa for allowing their political rivalry to get
so bad to the extent that government officials had to intervene as against the
statutory laws guiding football matters globally as stipulated by the
Federation of the International Football Association [F.I.F.A]and wondered why Nigerians
were crying foul over plans to sanction the nation when it knew of F.I.F.A
rules...
He explained that F.I.F.A rules were so structured in such a
way that there was usually know sacred cows at all ,citing the case of the
corruption scandal that swept off the likes of Michael Platini and Sepp Blattter
from office ,something that was not possible about 10 years ago.
He lamented that some very selfish individuals who were hell
bent on taking Nigeria 's hair to the grave due to their greed were the people
behind the current crisis at the N.F.F.
He went down memory lane and recalled that there were those who
up till now believe that the name ;N.F.F. was a corruption that does not exist in our lexicon but
insists on N.F.A but quickly added that the attendant crisis from that took so
long a time to manage until gladiators were forced to eat humble pies.
He revealed that as things stands today at the N.F.F. the recently released $8million given to the
body by F.I.F.A was what has heightened
the leadership crisis between Mr Chris Giwa and Mr Amaju Pinnick..
He urged the two major stakeholders in Nigerian soccer today
to shit their swords and work towards an out of court settlement as otherwise
Nigeria could be banned by F.I.F.A
