MICHEAL UCHEBO BETTER THAN KANU

MICHEAL UCHEBO BETTER THAN  KANU
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU.
Miceal Okechucku Uchebo of Cercle Brugge,Belgium talks to the press about football, his country men expects him to turn up in Brazil with scintillating performance

Without meaning to stoke the fire or embers of envy and jealousy, Nigerian Forward and Cercle Brugge of Belgium ‘s golden boy;Micheal Uchebo is better than the more illustrious and accomplished but now retired ;Nwankwo Kanu.
Investigations on the true technical and tactical quality of the player who drew comparisons with Kanu through Dutch Football journal: Voetball International  publication showed that the Ex- Rangers International star can play variety of roles  on the pitch and only the likes of Ademola Adeshina now in retirement had this sterling quality during his playing days with Shooting Stars of Ibadan,Abiola babes of Abeokuta and NEPA of Oshogbo and the Green Eagles now called Super Eagles.
Standing at over six feet ,Micheal Uchebo looks quite harmless but when he controls  and glides over the white round leather object  then memories of another Nigerian with similar mien comes flooding into your sub-consciousness.
His flowing and well woven hair reminds one of a certain Cyrille Makanaky who played for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun in the 1990 Edition of the World Cup while starring for Real Mallorca in Spain or better still Jean Claude Pagal who also played for the Lions of Cameroun at the same tourney.
Uchebo also reminds you of a certain Dutch International Defender who once starred for top dogs:Ajax Amsterdam and its national team, Mario Melchiot with his natural Built and K legged structured  legs.
Sharp and hard as nails, Uchebo can strike with either foot aside from passing the ball effortlessly ,it will appear that his decision to play safe against Scotland so as not to incur an injury made a lot of Nigerians who had not watched him before to easily concluded that he was a mistake .
When he came on in as a substitute against Greece ,Uchebo changed the entire direction of the  game ,as he fought, dribbled, flicked and taunted the Greek defense lines with amazing skills .
He caused all sorts of trouble for the Greeks all night that soccer fans watching the game exclaimed at the end of the day that the team’s technical crew led by Steven Keshi did not make any errors at all in team selection and chose to pray for the success of the team rather than been critical of it.
Uchebo has already been courted by Stoke City in England and Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers as at press time,a greater show like the one he put up recently will mean that he may not go back to the lowly Belgian Jupiler liga next season but play with the Queen in England.
His ability to do a dirty job while not getting the referee’s cards also comes to the fore ,this must have been the reason why another utility player: Fegor Ogude who plies his trade with Amkam in the Russian Premier League was dropped for the bean pole who looks  more like a reggae musician due to his Rastafarian looks.
He makes the game looks very simple with his one touch ball movement despite having the ability to show boat.
His ability to dart into space while not with the ball creates a lot of space for his team mates thus making the Super eagles extremely dangerous when counter attacking an opponent.
If he chooses to remain in Belgium then even the biggest club sides like R.S.C Anderlecht, F.C. Brugge, Standard Liege  may not be able to accommodate him as his transfer fees, brand and marketing value would have shot up
