The battle for who wins the greatest
number of votes and who captures the most coveted diadem, The Presidency of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria continues later next weekend as the battle field
shifts to Osun State.
Though there are other
aspirants who will be vying for who becomes the next Governor of the State but it
will appear that the main contenders for the position are the duo of beard mullah,
Engineer Rauf Aregbeshola of the ruling All Progressive Congress and Senator Iyiola Omisore of the Peoples
Democratic Party.
In an exclusive investigation
by Paedia Express Multimedia in Ile ife
,Osun State ,it was discovered that though the race was very tight but religion
was going to play a key role in the choice of who becomes the state Governor
next.
A source said that he was stunned
to discover that Governor Aregbeshola had not been paying salaries despite the
huge subventions he gets from the Federal Government annually and had to run to
his friends in Lagos State and Rivers State to borrow money for
payment of the states civil servants.
He expressed his delight
that there will be no opportunity for rigging as the state already has a plethora
of soldiers and policemen stationed to man specific locations in the state to
prevent trouble.
The source told this
reporter that he was at places like Iragbiji,Ede,Ife among other places in the
state and what he saw on ground was enough evidence that the incumbent Governor
was not going to get the people's nod.
It was gathered that indiegenes
of both Ilesha and Ife where the duo of Governor Aregbehola and Senator Omisore
hails from have since turned the electoral battle into an epic war as some
people were seen taken oaths publicly that they will not vote for Governor
Aregbeshola.
Things are so bad that
during the Governors campaign he could not enter into Ile Ife a t some point because
of security implications which did not favour his supporters.
An account even said that
the Governor who behaves like a fundamentalist was seen singing christen songs
at a campaign rally as he attempted to woo them to his side during
the polls.
Another account noted that
the Governor was seen begging and prostrating before the Oonirisa of Ile
Ife,Oba Okunnade Sijuwade as he attempted to woo the highly respected monarch
as the race for the Saturday elections hots up.
Another source lamented the
fact that the state was now been ruled by the Governor from Lagos
He revealed that the
Governor only goes to Oshogbo between Monday to Friday depending on any vital state
duties he has to perform
The source lashed out at members
of the media for compromising with politicians and refusing to respect the code
of there professional practice.
His words"I was
watching TVC and I heard it been said that South West can be lost by the APC and
I was shocked that Gimba Umar could say that they cannot lose Lagos state ,does
he realize that he is a reporter who should not be partisan at all"
Several sources consulted on
the future of the All Progressive Congress especially in there traditional
strong hold of the South West insists that the party had lost steam and that they
will be routed in Lagos,Oyo,Oshun,Ogun state just as they were given the cold
shudder in Ondo State and Ekiti State,some were of the opinion that Major
General Muhammadu Buhari should step down for President Goodluck Jonathan in
2015 so as to get his support for 2019 elections.
Investigations also showed
that Governor Fayemi of Ekiti State had been at logger heads with Ashiwaju Bola
Tinubu,the APC National Leader for six months before his rcent loss at the
polls.
Paedia
Express was informed that the political godfather had blamed Governor Fayemi
for digging his own political grave when he short changed the likes of Mr Ayo
Fayose now Governor elect of Ekiti State and another politician,Mr Opeyemi
Bamidele ,both of whom later joined forces to flush Fayemi out of the
Government House in Ado Ekiti
