The Nigerian Embassy in London and its consulate office in Liverpool, United Kingdom are been accused of dereliction of duties as Nigerians in Diaspora continues to get killed or molested.
In an exclusive insight , Paedia Express Multimedia leant in Lagos, Nigeria that the pains of the murder of a Nigerian  student two years ago at the Coventry University may have been lessened if Nigerian diplomats had tried to keep track of events.
Recently checks by this reporter has showed a serious disconnect between Nigerian Embassy officials abroad and its citizens in Diaspora.
An impeccable source who was a student at the Coventry University about the time the tragic incident took place told this reporter that the Nigerian foreign mission and its officials simply did nothing over the affair in 2012.
She speaks"it was a big issue at the time and it was even aired on CNN but the Nigerian Embassy in London ,United Kingdom did nothing about it ,the guy that was killed was actually my very good friend so I know what happened very well at the time"
"The killer said the victim did nothing to offend him but he had only decided to put into practice some of the things he had learnt previously ,maybe in the movies"
At the time ,Paedia Express Multimedia got the information on the tragic incident the identity of the victim and the killer were not disclosed by the source.
The source continues "since the killer was a Briton his people naturally rallied round there own and the case just died down "the source rounded up regrettably as at press time.
Checks later by this reporter showed that a Nigerian student by name Mr Adebayo Adeniran was killed by a lone wolf around the Coventry area in the United Kingdom.
A man who police called a "wicked fantasist"  was later  jailed for life for stabbing to death the  student in an empty house in Coventry.
Brian Albrighton, 31, of Walsgrave Road, Coventry, who had  pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to murdering the  Nigerian student Adebayo Adeniran, 32, in June,2012.
Officers who worked on the case said Albrighton had fantasized about what it would feel like to stab someone.
At Birmingham Crown Court, he was told he would serve a minimum of 22 years.
Mr Adeniran, who was known as Patrick, had been studying for a master's degree in oil and gas management at Coventry University.
Angela Millington, from the West Midlands Crown Prosecution Service, said both men had originally met in a pub that evening.
However, Mr Adeniran had become friendly with Albrighton's girlfriend, which led him to attack the student outside an empty house in which the couple had said Mr Adeniran could stay that night.
She said father-of-five Albrighton stabbed his victim four times, one wound piercing the student's heart.
Jailing Albrighton, Judge William Davis QC said Mr Adeniran was the "eldest son of proud parents back in Nigeria", whose "grief cannot be properly expressed in words".
Two women, aged 27 and 31, who were also arrested in connection with the murder have since been released from police bail without charge.
Mr Adeniran – known as Patrick – had been enjoying a night out at The Oak pub, in Gosford Street, on Wednesday, June 6,2012 and was last seen alive in Walsgrave Road at about 7pm.
His body was found in the front garden of a vacant property in North Avenue the following morning.
A post-mortem revealed he died of severe stabbed wounds.
Mr Adeniran was a town planner at Ogun State Water Corporation in Nigeria and was studying at Coventry University for a master of science degree in oil and gas.
He was a member of the Coventry University Catholic Society and on his Facebook page described himself as “smooth and reserved”.
Father Jimmy Lutwama, the university chaplain and priest at St Mary and St Benedict’s Church, in Raglan Street, Hillfields, said: “He used to come here to Sunday mass. He was such a nice, calm, young man.”
West Midlands Police said two women aged 31 and 27 arrested in connection with the incident remain on police bail at the time.
