GOV. ORTOM: DELIVERING ON HIS CAMPAIGN PROMISES------UNENGE

The Benue State Commissioner for Lands,Survey and Solid Minerals, Honourable Bernard Unenge has commended Governor Samuel Ortom for his sustained efforts in delivering quality leadership to the Benue people.
Honourable Unenge made the commendation when he received in his office, forum of local government Coordinators for Ortom/Abounu 2015 elections campaign.
The Commissioner who was one of the Coordinators for Makurdi local government said the Governor has not failed the people in trying to deliver on his campaign promises.
He emphasized that the Governor within the short time in office has impacted positively on the lives of the people, particularly his relentless efforts in ensuring sustained security of lives and property in the State.
Unenge added that in showing commitment in that direction,the Governor has signed two very important bills into law, according to him they are; the open grazing prohibition and Anti-Kidnapping, Abduction, Hostage taking and Cultism laws.
Other areas of accomplishments the Commissioner said are; Agriculture and Solid Minerals development, investment initiatives for revenue generation, education and rural infrastructural transformation as well as regular consultation with Stakeholders in addressing welfare issues of Benue Workers.
The Commissioner expressed appreciation to Governor Ortom for giving him the opportunity to serve in his cabinet and promised to always contribute his best inline with the development agenda of the present administration.
Acknowledging the privilege to be the only Coordinator among them to have been appointed Commissioner, Hon. Unenge assured that he will not disappoint on the duty of serving his motherland.
Leader of the group, Honourable Godwin Nyigba who is also Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Relations, expressed confidence in the Commissioner's ability to perform excellently well in his duty.
He said, from the antecedent of the Commissioner he has always shown commitment to any task given to him and believe he Will be a great asset to the present administration of Governor Ortom.
Nyigba stated that, they came to identify with him based on those qualities and also to encourage the Commissioner to keep the flag flying as their ambassador.
They appreciated the Governor for giving one their own the opportunity to serve in the capacity as Commissioner for Lands,Survey and Solid Minerals.
