GHANA:AKUFFO-ADDO TWIST FACTS TO PUT SMILE ON BUHARI'S FACE
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU.
The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia
Group of Lagos,Nigeria can now authoritatively confirm that The President of
the Republic of Ghana ,Mr Nana Akuffo-Addo was in fact economical with the
truth when he denied a derogatory remark he made on Nigeria at a recent Oxford
African conference.
President Akuffo-Addo in an advertorial of 1/06/2018 placed on page 23 of the Daily Trust
Newspapers by the Ghana High Commission went down memory lane to recall how
Nigeria enjoyed oil boom in the 1970s and his own nation,Ghana suffered.
He recalled that Nigeria's naira was a hot cake at the time
and was being exchanged as a foreign legal tender in Ghana and most parts of
the world at the time of Nigeria 's Oil boom.
Akuffo-Addo:"i do not need to spell out today's
reality to anyone in this audience cite
this just to make the point that the outside world is well able to tell that
there are separate sovereign nations on the African continent but when the new is not good then
Africa is treated as one entity"
The Ghanaian government denied in very strong words and
terms that it had deliberately attacked Nigeria.
Now of particular interest to this medium are the words in
the immediate paragraph before this :i
do not need to spell out today's reality to anyone in this audience"
It is a known fact anyone around the world presently that
the Boko Haram insurgency, Fulani
Herdsmen strikes, kidnapping ,armed gang banditry ,organized crime wave ,human
trafficking ,drugs peddling amongst several others have become official badges
on the uniform or clothing of an average Nigerian hence denying what is on
print and ink by a government official to massage the ego of another nation is
highly unfortunate indeed.
SPECIAL EDITORIAL:
PRESIDENT AKUFFO -ADDO MAY NOT HAVE MEANT TO INSULT NIGERIA
AS A NATION BUT THE CHOICE OF WORDS OR PHRASE HE USED CAN BE INTERPRETED IN
SEVERAL WAYS HENCE DR GOODLUCK EBELE
AZIKIWE JONATHAN ,FORMER NIGERIAN PRESIDENT SHOULD NOT BE BLAMED FOR HIS
INTERPRETATIONS..
