ECONOMY:ICELAND
IS GREAT PRODUCER OF STOCK FISH
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU
Iceland is
a very small nation of less than 400,000 people in the Scandinavians and they
are actually one of the net producers of the famed African delicacy:Stock fish.
In an
exclusive chat with The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia
Group of Lagos,Nigeria ,an impeccable source who has done an extensive study
and research on that region of the world hailed the nation for its culture of
natural adaptation to its environment which others find difficult to adapt to.
He said
that Iceland is a heavy producer of
Stock Fish and this the nation produces
in a very high quantity thus providing a platform for its commercial
success stories in the science and art of fisheries.
His
words:during the winter, fishes will be lumped together in the Rivers but
during the summer the fishermen will separate them and then they sun dry them
for commercial processing,i think they one of the highest producers of stock
fishes globally"
The source
pointed out that due to the nature of the climate within that region of the
world on account of its proximity to the North Pole ,the alcoholic beverage
industry and the chimney inducing cigarette smoking producing blue chips work
24 hours without any forms of break.
He
continues:"They have extreme range of temperatures as you can have days of
about 14 days of sunlight without any forms of break, this is why there street
lights are always on and they also find it difficult to conceive easily due to the harsh weather as when a
woman puts to bed they keep the child in a wool bag for 3 months "
"It
is a state crime to abort a child while
at pregnancy by an intending mother"
The Source
added that the situation was not in anyway different in other Scandinavian
nations of the world like Sweden,Denmark,Faroe
Islands,Greenlands,Finland,Norway,Holland.
