FOOTBALL POLITICS,TACTICAL ERRORS LED TO
NIGERIA'S OUSTER IN RUSSIA
BY ABDULUMUMINI ADEKU..
A football
technocrat has fingered football politics
and tactical error as major reasons behind NIgeria's elimination at the
on-going soccer world cup taking place in Russia.
in an
exclusive interview with this reporter shortly after the match as the News
office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria
querried him on his thoughts or opinions on the game ,the source accused Coach
Gernot Rohr of making a lot of questionable decisions as it regards the team at
the mundial.
He wondered
why a coach worth its salt will suddenly change his teams formation less than
two weeks to the World Cup in Russia.
He noted
that the Super Eagles played a 4:3:2 pattern in the qualifiers save for
the game against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun where it played a
4:4:2 formation only for the coach to switch to a 4:2:3:1 formation in the first game at the mundial against Croatia with emphasis on always
seating deep to watch an opponent especially in the first half despite having
the talent or playing staff to confront the opposition ,a strategy which shows
that Gernot Rohr actually belonged to the Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte 's
school of football.
The source also
criticized Rohr for his refusal to allow the media to watch the players during
his close camping in Austria but this medium can confirm that Complete Sports
did sent a correspondent of the rank of an editor to monitor the proceedings .
He revealed
that the injury that sent Moses Simon out of the world cup was not as serious
as that of Mohammed Sallah of Egypt..
His
words:"the doctors said moses simon will be out for three weeks and from
that period to the world cup he will only have missed the first week of matches
and will then be ready"
He wondered
why the coach took a
Joel Obi who was not going to
play at all to the World Cup..
He lamented
the fact that each time Nigeria lost out to Argentina with Lionel Messi scoring
Kenneth Omeruo was always his ready -made customer and this the former has achieved 3 times .
He affirmed
that FIFA played politics by the refusal
of the referee not to award the 2nd penalty that Nigeria clearly had noting
that with sponsors putting a lot of pressure on the organizers there was no way
FIFA was going to allow Argentina,Portugal and Brazil to go home early in the
fiesta.
Analysts
feel that considering that a similar scenario played out between Portugal and
Iran and which was duly punished by the centre referee then Nigeria has a right
to feeling hard done in..
He paid
glowing tributes to Ahmed Musa's sterling performance at the world cup insisting
that if JUde odion Ighalo had not wasted the two sitters created by the former
deep into the game ,Nigeria and not Argentina should have being in the knock
out stages.
Throughout
the match only the duo of Ahmed Musa and Oghenekaro Etebo ,ironically the two
best players on the Nigerian side at the world Cup that did not appear to have
been afraid of the Argentines either psychologically or otherwise as the Super
Eagles appeared to over respect their opponents especially in the first half.
It would
appear to the News office Desk of the E.N.MPaedia Express Group of Lagos,
Nigeria that the so called video assisted referee technology is a big fraud targeted
by FIFA and its teeming partners at doling out the trophy to a carefully anointed
nation.
Check out
this scenario though it is debatable :Musa leaves his marker for dead and
passes to ighalo via a floater and the
latter in the course of an aerial melee forces an Argentine,Marcos Rojo to
handle the ball.
As the
argument went on over the incident on the pitch with the referee appearing to
have made u his mind on what to do ,he nonetheless goes to do a VAR review and the 200 million Nigerians were left
stunned or shell shocked at his return and subsequent refusal to award the spot
kick.
You did not
need to go for a coaching course to know that Nigeria had just being 419ed by
FIFA'S conspiracy and web of intrigues.
However,if
Odion Ighalo had done the needful by burying the ball in the net to score at
least one of the two chances he had late in the match Nigeria will never have
lost.
It was also
gathered that the altercation between John Obi Mikel and Ogenyi Onazi over a
regime of heavy work load in the teams middle which affected the teams tactical
formation also rubbed off on the super eagles general confidence at the
mundial.
