SIcily has being fingered as the global capital of  virtually every organized crime in the whole world .Organized crime ranges from Drug peddling and shipments, illegal gambling in casinos, stealing, armed robbery, bribes, impersonation, money laundering or racketeering, gang wars ,prostitution rings ,murder, contract killings or assassinations, loan sharking, armed hijacking ,extortion rackets amongst others .

An impeccable source while speaking to The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria ,suggested that the issue had eaten deep into the entire fabric of the Italian society and there was nothing anybody could do about it at all.

He explained that in Sicily ,several crime families who make their fortunes from criminal activities are well known to the police but there was nothing they could do about it as they were overwhelmed and helpless in this regards.

He listed sectors like politics,government,the Catholic Church and amongst several other places they were lodged and could easily be found by anyone looking out for them.

if there was ever anything Italy exported to The America's then it has to be the organized crime trade and with a lot of distinction too as well.

In history ,there have been several renowned mafiaso from Italian origin but who were born and bred in the United states of America and they were Charles 'Lucky' Luciano, John Gotti:The Head of the Gambino family,The Genovese family,the Lucchessi family,the Bonano family amongst others.

As at 1967 based on an account by Joseph Vallachi ,there were five crime families in the city of New York alone with another one in New Jersey and there were crime families in cities like Buffalo,Chicago,Detrot,Tampa,Boston and Providence.

About the same period in history ,there were well over 2,000 self made men steeped deeply in the underworld in New York city alone  based on the accounts of now deceased crime boss:Joe Vallachi.

The Vallachi memoirs which later appeared in a literary form dubbed :'Valachi Papers " in 1968 became for many ,probably one of the most important documents on the underworld in the 20th and 21st century.

The likes of Frank Costello,Al Pacino also known as Scarface  were all cult figures of the underworld on account to services to humanity via criminality.

According to a source oath taking in the underworld usually goes in this forms:"This is the way i will burn if i betray the secrets of this Cosa Nostra,The Cosa Nostra comes before everything -our religion,our family, our blood ,our country"

"to betray the secrets of Cosa Nostra means death without a trial,if they only knew of it and  if i ever betray my sacred oath then may my soul burn in hell forever "

According to Christian tradition globally ,Judas Iscariot betrayed the Savior of the whole world :Jesus also commonly called Christ by admirers and foes alike for a mere 30 piece of silver hence helping to secure his place in all of human history as the greatest squealer of all time.

His 21st century counterparts though would have been granted a place on a witness protection program ,paid for extensive surgery and most likely moved elsewhere so that he can start a new life.
