Independent Newspapers postpones ping pong contest

Independent Newspapers Limited ,publishers of one of Nigeria’s top newspaper ,The Independent have postponed their table tennis competition at least for now.
In an exclusive interview with Paedia Express Multimedia in his office, Personel Manager ,Mr Kehinde Okeowo said that it the planned sports competition was part of the firms corporate social initiative to promote motivation among staff in the company.
He explained that the competition which is been dubbed “The Publishers Cup ‘is one of a long term effort to identify with the owners of the company over there support over the years.
He told this reporter that there were prizes slated to be given to each category winner among the workers during the competition that is expected to be a week long affair.
As at press time, nothing has however happened with feelers suggesting that the ping pong tourney had been postponed indefinitely with no reason cited for the postponement
