Nestle Launches Pure Life water

By Abdulmumini Adeku.
It was sights, sounds and color as Nestlé Nigeria Plc launched its new 5 liter bottled water at the National stadium on the 9th of February, 2013. The event was a mix of comedy, dance, music and a health talk.
The MD of Nestlé said it was done in a bid to help people live healthier lives. He said the major cause of a lot of diseases was due to poor hydration.
The nestle pure life brand has been present in Nigeria for over 7 years. MD, Nestle Nigeria Plc, Mr. Martin Woolnough stated that inside the bottle is something special – the water. He said the water is water you can trust. It tastes good and has the right balance of mineral in it. He also hinted that Nestlé is committed to Nigerian consumers and would be opening another factory/ plant in the country.
Dr. Marco Bright, who represented the president of the nutrition society of Nigeria, implored that people should live a healthy lifestyle through proper hydration. In his words:
According to a proverb, a man can live three weeks without food, three days without water and three minutes without air. This emphasizes the essence of water.  The body is comprised primarily of water. Brain cells function properly when they are hydrated. Water is needed to move oxygen to the various cells in the body. Water removes toxic wastes in the body. Water acts as a lubricant on the body. Hydration plays an important role in the digestion of food. Insufficient digestion slows the digestive system. Improper hydration is what leads to constipation
Signs of dehydration include fatigue, dry mouth, dizziness, dark urine. Dr. Bright stated that people don’t have to wait till they feel thirsty before drinking water. Thirst is a sign that one is really dehydrated. Some sicknesses are dealt with just by drinking water. Example fever.
The 5-liter is an ideal solution for the family. You can add a slice of lime to give  flavor to you water. Ascertain the quality of the water you drink k and try to drink it very hour. He caps the speech with a very interesting quote.
Thousands have lived without love. Not one without water
