CRIME OFFICER ASKED ALL THE PARTIES TO COME BACK ON THE 18TH JULY,2016
A Lagos based business man,Mr Tony Okpala has been fingered
in the massive stealing of cable worth close to a N1billion from the stables of
Peace Global Satellite and Communications Limited in Lagos,Nigeria.
In an investigations by the News Office Desk of Paedia
Express Multimedia in Lagos, Nigeria at the premises of the telecommunications outfit
in Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos,it was discovered that before the incident ,law
enforcement agencies under the aegis of
The Nigerian Police, Lagos command were actually looking for the dude to explain
himself over series of rackets in which investigations pointed to his direction
as being in the know.
It was gathered that the man in question was involved in a
N4million scam he defrauded a woman who
was now deceased after posing as her relative using her Ecobank Account.
This reporter also learnt that the same Tony Okpala was
involved in another N10million scandal
after stealing same sum from a man who was living abroad using a proxy
who worked in a bank to do his dirty job.
A source speaks exclusively :”That Tony Okpala is the brain
behind the entire racket of stolen cables in our company and he lives in the area
as he was once in our network”
“he said that he saw some people vandalizing our cables and
later begged us to free one of the people involved as they were related”
“initially , they denied of involvement but they later
confessed to the deed as one of the vehicles that was used in pulling out the
cables was later allowed to go as an order came from the top through a police
officer that the vehicle should be allowed to move”
“part of the cable that was destroyed was what Tony called a
NITEL cable and even he knows that NITEL does not operate in Omole Phase one and Two”

Livingstone Oreye,Chief Executive Officer of the company was accused albeit
wrongfully of being behind the vandalisation of the cable ,an act the source
called a lie
On sighting this reporter ,officials of Peace
Telecommunications wanted to find out if he had been reporting about the scams
against the outfit as they were surprised that instead of been ashamed the
cable thieves became emboldened to the extent that they sued the innocent…
They noted that all the details given by the cable thieves
to officials of Peace Telecommuication were all fake as there address was non-existent while a manager said to represent Gourkis Nigeria Limited
refused to acknowledge a letter for an interview that was already agreed upon previously.
The source pointed out that the lawyers for the plaintiff
accused their own lawyer for been very harsh on his client as he was shocked
that they were been referred to as thieves even when they had not yet been
convicted.
A source continues:”They
took us to court and asked for an accelerated hearing ,infact it was a vacation
judge that sat on the matter though at the moment they now want to settle out
of court “
“They went to court to try to pre-empt us,they knew that we
were willing to take them on ,so they quickly went to court and now they are
begging to settle out of court with us”
“their lawyer was asking after their vehicle that we took
away but can that equate with the billions of naira worth of cables that we
have already lost”
This reporter scooped that when the South –South Magazine got to NATCOM for investigations ,the management
had thanked them for the professional manner they handled things before they
went to the press.
