DRUGS:NIGERIAN
POSSIBLY ON DEATH ROW IN MOROCCO
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU
A Nigerian whose identities are not yet fully disclosed to
this reporter as at press time at The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia
Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria could be on his way to the gallows in
Casablanca ,Morocco anytime soon if feelers are anything to go by .
An impeccable source who recently returned from Brazil where he had attended an environmental
conference but used Casablanca in Morocco as a transit said he and at least 6
others who were from Nigeria. were thoroughly
embarrassed at the airport in North Africa due to the way they were frisked by
the immigration.
He revealed that one of them in the queue was later taken
away after hard drugs were said to have being spotted on him and he knew that the
suspect was not going to make it out
alive due to the stringent conditions on drug trafficking in Arab and Islamic
nations globally.
He lamented the humiliation a lot of honest Nigerians
were made to go through at major airports around the world due to the
bad name some unscrupulous Nigerians had given the rest of frequent Nigerian travelers.
It would be recalled
that a recent comment by President Muhammadu Buhari on the work ethics of
Nigerians had led to an air of sharp
critism on social media with The Presidency later moderating on the statement
by saying that it was not a sweeping remark .
Analysts at this medium believes very strongly that Buhari's
statement on the work ethics of Nigerian Youths was partly true but this has
generated a lot of heat and bile in the polity at this time because the
Nigerian leader had lost moral authourity while yet still in office...
