Burnley have been champions of England twice, in 1920–21[2] and 1959–60,[3] have won the FA Cup once, in 1914, and have won the Community Shield twice, in 1960 and 1973. The Clarets also reached the 1961 quarter-finals of the European Cup. They are one of only five teams to have won all top four professional divisions of English football, along with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Preston North End, Sheffield United and Portsmouth.[4]
only Stoke City and Tottenham spent less than Burnley as the shrewd club will now smile to the bank courtsey of broadcast rights and may be get lucky with a Europa apperance as well
