Chief Ayo Oyoze Baje ,one of Africa's leading Public Affairs analyst and President of the Guild of Public Affairs Analysts of Nigeria has launched about press time a new literary masterpiece titled: Drumbeats of Democracy at the  Nigerian Institute of Journalism in Lagos, Nigeria
At the launch of the new book, the author, Chief Baje who likes to be simply referred to as Mr Ayo Baje used the epoch making event to pay tributes to the memories of some of the nation's founding fathers like: late Herbert Macaulay, Nnamdi Azikiwe , Alhaji Tafawa Balewa ,Sir Ahmadu Bello amongst others while recalling the efforts they made at working for the nations freedom in the colonial times.
He affirmed that if all those mentioned individuals were to suddenly come back to life to see that the Nigerian of their dreams had derailed so badly they would feel very bad indeed.
He lashed out at a leadership that had not being able to find answers to the litany of woes  the nation has faced  with access to food security, jobs, human development index at its lowest ebb in years.
He urged the present leadership to do something on the several proven cases of insecurity, disunity ,nepotism ,stealing, and other problems associated with the Nigerian project..
His words: the focus of my book therefore is the persistent quest for good governance in Nigeria and truth be told it has been one distant dream and one elusive elixir to our myriad of self inflicted socio-economic and political woes"
"There is indeed a cause for serious concern because God in his infinite wisdom has blessed us with vast natural resources amongst which includes arable land ,solid mineral resources, oil and gas and an attractive tourist destinations"
He added that it was time the nation rise up from the scourge of primordial sentiments like ethnicity, religion and politics to tell the truth to power.
Beautiful plaques with the insignia titled: Torchbearer of the Nation were later handed over to Barrister Natasha Akpoti, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin and Pastor Lolu Wright as the trio gave their thanks to the organizers of the event though the  latter was unavoidably absent but was represented by his son-in-law, Mr Ayo Moses Ogedengbe
