AMBODE!!! IS THE LAST OUTCAST

It's not certain that Williams Shakespeare now of blessed memories ever met Mr Akinwunmi Ambode ,Governor of Lagos State  all through his lifetime what is even  more puzzling is that the British literary icon  and the Nigerian accountant turned professional turned political actor lived in different centuries and ages wide apart.

Yet Governor Ambode 's reverberating humiliation at the hands of his political godfather ,Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu suggests a battle not between equals but of a lion and a mere ant.

The literary masterpiece of Shakespeare: Macbeth and Julius Caesar brought to the fore  the unpredictable nature of man when the three witches had met Macbeth  and they had told him that despite King Duncan been on the throne of Scotland he was the next monarch on the throne  and when he related this to his friend  Banquo and his wife of course he received a lot of encouragements especially the latter who wearied him to the point of committing murder  to usurp the throne for himself even if the torture of what took place eventually hounded Macbeth to his own death.

This is similar to the experience ,Governor Ambode and his wife had with the clergy that they booted out of office for the latter's disrespect to state protocol.

Though this has been roundly denied publicly by the duo .

In another breath ,Julius Caesar was a Roman Empire war hero who took over the reins of power via decrees and to this the Roman Senate who believed in democracy kicked against very strongly.

So one bright day ,Caesar came to the Senators but unknown to him there was an ambush and his enemies struck at him with deadly weapons  that were to injure him fatally and eventually kill him.

In his dying moments, Caesar 's last words were to remain a focal point of reference in immortality as Brutus struck his own blows at his target  and a dying Caesar was quoted as saying :Brutus even you too..

From that statement ,it was obvious that Caesar was shocked to find out  that if everybody could betray him ,Brutus whom  he had helped variously in the past could do so as well.

This is similar to what Mr Ambode have felt when he heard that his Deputy Governor[Mrs]Idiat Adebule voted against him during the recently held All Progressives Congress [A.P.C]Governorship primaries in Lagos State of Nigeria.

In a dramatic but gripping world exclusive interview with The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria ,a highly impeccable source and a good friend of this reporter for at least a decade and who was recently approached by one of Ambode's cronies for a business transaction that did not eventually fly made some very damaging revelations about the underground or behind the scenes conduct of the politician cum administrator.

His words:"Ambode has been told point blank that if he leaves the A.P.C his political career will die a  natural death  as he does not have the support of any of the A.P.C. elders at all"

"A reverend father  he offended with his wife was also said to have put a curse on him  for disgracing him after the latter had fasted to fight Ambode spiritually for 21 days "

"the P.S.P issue and that of visionscope also comes to mind as this was the conduit pipe with which the party elders like Odunbaku,Hamzat,Obasa,Oniganga amongst others were being patronized"

"All the local government Chairmen and  about 57 of them  have ganged up and agreed not to support him for a second term in office with Tinubu's mandate group "

"if It was only Tinubu that he offended  then it would have been easier to sort out the problems ,over 40 members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have also agreed to his removal from office"

"This is a man that has brought up to 69 plots of land in Agidingbi -Ikeja alone ,one of them is a high rise building directly opposite Cadbury Buildings  and he uses Larallec Constructions to stand in for him as his fronts in all negotiations"

"There is a particular land just near Mega Chicken opposite Agidingbi Grammar School and it was owned by Dr Fredrick Fasheun of the Oodua People's Congress [O.P.C.]fame ,Ambode used his relationship with Larallec Construction Company to pay a whooping sum of N700,000 Million to them again through the a latter acting as  his fronts"

"If he refuses to step down or goes to another party they will likely collect all these things from him"

The source went on to reveal how Tinubu had spies planted at Lagos Television and EKO F.M.,so that Ambode's antics could be reported back to him but the latter got wind -off it and sacked them.

This reporter also had tales of how Ambode brought a fake broadcast equipment for the state at the rate of N3.2billion.

In a related issue ,yet another source wondered why anyone will sympathize with a drowning man and went ahead to accuse Ambode of high handedness and executive gangsterism.

He poured venoms on the Governor for arbitrary increments of the land use charges in the state ,blockage of pipes  that led to his been elected to office in the first place  and his over concentrations on Epe as a symbol for development.

In all of this  who is the winner, Tinubu and the old fox is beginning to assert his authority in the race to prepare him for a short at the 2023 Nigerian Presidency..

To also endear himself to the Muhammadu Buhari camp ,Tinubu has picked Dr Obafemi Hamzat ,a lackey of his estranged godson:Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola as the running mate of the about to be installed Sanwo-Olu now fondly called Sanwo-Eko by admirers and foes alike.

The thinking in the Tinubu camp is that this way ,the Northern establishment will support him in 2023 after mending fences with Fashola who currently enjoys a robust union with the Daura born General.
