"I STOPPED OTUNBA GBENGA DANIEL FROM DEMOLISHING MOUNTAIN OF FIRE'S PRAYER CITY"

1]In your new initiative ,what are the benefits of the body of Christ and Nigeria as a nation in the scheme of things?
The Christian Defenders initiative [C.D.I] is going to help the body of Christ as a whole to defend every governmental policy at Federal,state and local level that is considered as being against human rights of freedom of worship.
The benefit can be taken from this case study ,when Governor Akinwunmi Ambode ordered the sack or removal of a clergy that was attached to the Lagos state government over an alleged acts of insubordination .
If we were already on board at the time ,we could have stepped in the gap to proffer solutions such that there will not have being any forms of crisis .
We would have made an official approach at seeing the Governor but if he had refused to see us then we would have called the attention of the whole world via a press conference and if this was not enough to get his attention then we will be left with no option than to protest.
If this were done,Ambode should have been re-elected as Governor as we would have protested and possibly gone to court on his behalf.
This should have gone a long way in helping in the fight for justice for even the Governor but at the time we were not in place as an organization .
The aforementioned is actually the reason why Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was not returned for a second term of office as God was very angry with him
we will also be fighting against the injustice in the church ,there are several cases of Pastor' s earning as low as N20,000 as a salary and yet they will be made to return huge sums of money to the headquarters .
Churches build universities,polytechnics,colleges of Education amongst several educational institutions and yet even the church members who contributed immensely to this projects cannot send their children to the same university.
We will not encourage splits and any forms of discrimination in the body of Christ in Nigeria and beyond . in Christendom there are there are sects like the white garments ,The Latter-day Church of Jesus Christ ,Jehovah Witness, Pentecostals, Orthodox Churches, The Catholic Church amongst many others that are discriminated against for one reason or the other .we will defend them either as a whole or individually.
There are several cases of demolition of churches and they are taking place severally nationwide ,C.D.I. will work to prevent  this in the future ,i recall that in 2007 when a former Governor of Ogun state ,Otunba Gbenga Daniel earmarked The Prayer City of The Mountain of Fire and Miracle  Church for demolition.

It was in Bible study on a Monday evening at the time when it was announced  that if anyone knows any top person in The Peoples Democratic Party [P.D.P.]he should see us.

So when i got home i discovered that i had a phone number of one of the non- governmental organizations and i called him to tell him that i know a top P.D.P. official  who is very close to Otunba Daniel ,Chief Ademola Awosanya ,The Oriaje of Remo land ,he is now of blessed memory but at the time during his lifetime i was very close to him.

The Assistant General Overseer that the General overseer  of the Church will call me and not up to five minutes the General Overseer called me up for a meeting.

He informed me of how the state government through some of her officials had marked out his church ,his home in The Prayer City for demolition.

So he asked that i step in so that if we use a top party chieftain on the matter the issue can be resolved amicably.

The G.O. now told me that Pastor Alewi who is in charge of The Prayer City will call me up so that the two of us will meet Chief Awosanya .

So when we met with Chief Awosanya he promised to see the governor and after meeting with him Chief Awosanya now said he wanted to see the General Overseer.

I now took Awosanya to the General Overseer of our church:Dr D.K.Olukoya and the former informed the latter that he has seen the Governor  and pleaded that there should be a time fixed for both the Governor and Olukoya to see with Awosanya mediating and that was eventually took place at the time..

So one day ,Pastor Alewi just called me up and said that we should meet at The Prayer City and go to Late Chief Awosanya  and then all of us should go to the Governor's office  in Abeokuta for the meeting as agreed previously.

In Pastor D.K. Olukoya's delegation ,we had Pastor Adetayo ,Pastor Gbesan ,our Assistant General Overseer at the time,myself and some of the General Overseer's security details.

 i was surprised that at the meeting ,i met a man there whose name was Mr Tokoya and who was previously  the Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun state of Nigeria.of Ogun state .

i could recall that he practically lived inside Prayer City as he prayed fervently for Otunba Gbenga Daniel  to be elected as a first time Governor at the time.

ironically, it was the same Prayer City that Otunba Daniel through his proxy had prayed to success in his elections to a position of public trust as governor  that he now wished to demolish.

As a result of the proceedings of the meeting which God directly took charge of,the state government of Ogun state finally had to rescind its decisions of demolishing the church..

So as a result of this ,we are using this true story of the past to inform the body of Christ that if any church was to be demolished  then the C.D.I will stand in the gap to defend the honor and the integrity of the Church C.D.I will go a long way at helping to unite the body of Christ together.

2Will your initiative allow members to be politicians ?

As the President of the initiate ,am not into partisan politics  and i cannot be a politician because every good activists usually will not go into politics.

If am into partisan politics and am a card carrying member of a particular party and they are doing what is very wrong then i will not be able to fight them.

When a reporter came to me during the polls he wanted to know whether i had a voters card and to which i said :Yes, and he wanted to know whether i was going to vote and i said no.

If i was in my home town during the 2019 polls i could have voted for Prince Dapo Abiodun but it will not be because he is a member of the All Progressives Congress [A.P.C.] but because we hail from the same place and therefore my brother.

Because it is a thing of joy for me as an individual to tell people that we actually have a Governor from my place,today a lot of activists are in governmen but they cannot talk because they belong to a particular party .

So we will remain a political so that we have the freedom to be able to speak out against all forms of injustice without any forms of reservation.

At any level if we have reasons to believe that Christians are not properly represented we will protest against it until the right things are done as both Christians and Muslims voted the politicians into power and positions of public trust in the first place.
