UPDATE ON WEATHER IN MUMBAI,CALCUTTA,MADRAS,NEW DELHI AMONG ST OTHER INDIAN CITIES,TOWNS AND VILLAGES

Weather Systems across the Country :
The Cyclonic Storm ‘Fani’ is likely to become severe Cyclonic Storm during the next 12 to 24 hours.
A fresh Western Disturbance will approach Northern Himalayas.
A Trough is extending from Northeast Uttar Pradesh up to Manipur. Its embedded Cyclonic Circulation is over Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
Another Cyclonic Circulation is over Madhya Pradesh. A Trough from this system is extending up to North Kerala.
A fresh Cyclonic Circulation is over Southeast Arabian Sea and Kerala coast.
Another Trough is extending from Gangetic West Bengal up to Coastal Odisha.
Weather Activity in last 24 hours :
In the last 24 hours, fairly widespread moderate rain with isolated heavy rain occurred over the northeastern states, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining Bihar.
Rain and thundershowers were observed over Andhra Pradesh, South and Coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
Heat wave conditions prevailed over Vidarbha, Marathwada, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and extreme South Uttar Pradesh.
The highest maximum was recorded at 46.7 over Akola.
Dry weather prevailed over rest parts of the country.
Weather Activity in the next 24 hours :
Due to the approach of Cyclonic Storm, wind speed is likely to increase around the coast of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. The speed may vary between 50 and 60 kmph during the next 24 hours and may increase gradually.
Light to moderate rain may occur over the northeastern states, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining Bihar along with isolated squall.
Rains may occur over parts of Kerala, South Karnataka, North Andhra Pradesh coast, Rayalaseema, extreme South Madhya Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir.
Isolated dust storm is possible over Punjab, extreme North Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.
Heat wave conditions will continue in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and extend further over southwestern parts of Haryana, South and West Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and adjoining West Odisha.
Temperatures will increase over northwestern and eastern parts of the country.
