ARAB LEAGUE, AFRICAN
UNION LIKELY DIVIDED OVER MORSI’S DEATH
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU..LAGOS,NIGERIA
The Arab league and
the African Union may at the moment be facing a major character test in taking
a resolution on the obviously gross and several years of human rights violation
of Former President Mohammed Morsi of Egypt which eventually culminated in his
death during a recent wave of court appearance on an unending but new set of criminal charges.
In an interview with
The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of
Lagos,Nigeria ,The Chief Executive officer of the Sunbird African Media
Limited,Mr Richards Mammah said that as
far as he was concerned the Abdelfattah Al Sisi regime was on its final page
and was sure to fail.
He lamented the fact
that a lot of nations were currently going through one crises or the other on
the continent due to the challenges Nigeria was going through even in its own
foreign policy directions
He recalled that
during the era of General Muritala
Mohammed he was aware that the nation played a brotherly role to several
African nations but that sadly that clout has since being eroded by events
which have overtaken the nation.
He noted that he was
sure that the Arab league will be divided over the crIsis in Egypt as all the
nations in the Middle East were at the moment battling each other over the
storms in Yemen,Saudi Arabia,Iran,Sudan,Western Sahara ,Algeria,Libya amongst others and will allow Egypt to face
her own issues .
He insisted that since
President Al Sisi was the current chairman of the African Union [The A.U],he
will not be taken by shock if the latter does not come hard on the Egyptian
leadership like the United Nations did recently.
