Lashone Links ,partners NDE on job creation by Abdulmumini Adeku. REAL Estate firm,Lashone Links group of companies has gone into public and private sector led partnership with the National Directorate of Employemnt [NDE]as part of its corpoarte social responsibility initiatives. in his address at the ongoing skill acquistion and internship workshop taking palce at NDE's lagos office,the Executive Chairman of the group,Dr Lanre Shonekan admonished ootehr employers of labour in teh organised private sector to give back something to the society. He recalled his youthful days whe he nurtured the dream of becoming aself made man and as such declared that he wish that others can be in his posiion as well. He lameneted the spate of joblessness in our polity but quickly added that it was high time that a concerted efforts be found to bridge this gap. He affirmed that it was his dreams to use the skill acquisition workshop to help in training people in virtually all aspects of human endeavour in order to create more jobs in Nigeria. In a related issue,head of the NDE ,Lagos office,Mr Joseph MOrdi said that teh job crisis was a problem that demands urgent response fom all stakeholders. He recalled that in the past undergraduates usually got jobs before they graduated at school but quickly added that things have since change for the worst since goverments at all level now have to spend so much money to invest in other investments. He declared that he was however elated when a company like lashone links came up to tehm to help as regards job creation in the polity. in his own contributions,the Dean of Lashone Business School,Dr Bayo Oladipo enjoinde teh gatehring to take the workshop and its content seriusly as it could make or mar an enterprise in the future. An Associate in Lashone Group of Companies,Mr Bolaji Eko Odeyale said that the event waas a groundbreaking development in the field of enterpreneaurship in Nigeria.by Abdulmumini Adeku.
