Maltina Excites Lagosians With Free Bus Rides

LAGOS. Consumers of Maltina, the nation’s number one malt drink from the stable of Nigerian Breweries Plc, would be offered a free five days free bus ride across major routes within the mega-city of Lagos in furtherance of its brand promise of “sharing happiness” and putting smiles on the faces of Nigerians.

The free bus rides are coming on the heels of the recently concluded regional auditions of the Maltina Dance All (MDA) where prizes such as television sets, BlackBerry phones and home theatre systems were won by consumers across the country. This act of sharing happiness are also leading up to brand new things coming from the Maltina brand which will be unveiled very soon.

According to Mrs. Ngozi Nkwoji, Senior Brand Manager, Maltina; the route for the free rides are; Obalende to Mile 12 under bridge, Obalende to Ajah Bus top, and CMS/Broad Street to Iyana-Ipaja. She added that the brand is undertaking this initiative because of the firm belief that consumers need to feel the brand at various consumer touch points and to show that Maltina is really a brand that takes the interests of its consumers to heart. “We try to meet our consumers wherever they can be found, and this time around we want to meet them inside the bus”. She added.

She stressed that in addition to the free bus rides, several BRT buses in Lagos would be branded to add colour to a system that has changed the face of public transportation in the mega-city of Lagos.

This novel initiative is being activated as the brand’s exciting family TV show, MDA season 7 tagged ‘The Evolution’ is currently airing across major Television networks including, African Independent Television (AIT)  Monday-Friday8-.9pm, Saturday, 6-7pm and Sundays 3-4pm; Silverbird TV (STV) Monday-Friday 8-9.00pm, Saturdays 4-5pm, Sundays 5-6pm; Ebony Life TV (DSTV Channel 165) 6-7.00pm,  and Galaxy TV 8-900pm.

In the current season of the MDA,  the brand will reward the winning family with a whooping sum of N6 million and a brand new car while the first and second runners up will also get N1million and N500, 000 respectively. Over the years, the show has come to be renowned for sharing happiness, promoting togetherness with friends and loved ones and for uplifting the youths to achieve their dreams of becoming professional dancers.

From all indications, MDA “The Evolution” has been exciting, entertaining and enlivening the family space with twists, turns, flips and exceptional dance styles that the show is noted for. Evidently, the stakes are higher as the dance instructors prepare the families for the final showdown that would take place at the Eko Hotel and Suites on September 21 in Lagos.

It would be recalled that the brand, only recently, thrilled numerous consumers that turned up for the annual Lagos Carnival which took place at the Tafawa Balewa Square earlier in the year where carnival goers were captivated by a memorable flashmob performance organized by the brand. The flash mob staged by Maltina, is the first of its magnitude ever witnessed in Nigeria. This is all in the spirit of "sharing happiness".
