 CAREER IN THE BUNDESLIGA
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU
With a quick feet and great match reading ability and a very disciplined approach when it comes to work rate in the middle of the pack, leggy Forward Solomon Okoronkwo is supposed to be a coaches delight but he has been largely dogged by ill luck.
Checks by Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos, Nigeria shows that the player has continued to trudge on in his career despite been dropped by the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s current technical crew.
At the Olympics where he featured on the right side of the midfield only the likes of Sani Keita,John Obi Mikel,Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke, were rated better than him as his work rate in the middle helped him to boost Nigeria’s chances as the nation finished as  runners Up

After leaving the back waters of European Football , Hungary, last  season Forward Solomon Okoronkwo  recently returned to scorin ways as he scored in his third consecutive match for German side Erzgebirge Aue. This time his goal ensured 2-1 victory over Hallescher FC in friendly.
The former Super Eagles scored in both previous friendlies - against Hradec Kralove and Banik Sokolov and extended his scoring streak to three matches thanks to 42nd-minute goal against Hallescher today. Okoronkwo looks ready to open his scoring account in official matches for Erzgebirge, as he failed to score in 12 2.Bundesliga matches last season. Aue will start new season in two weeks with away game against Nurnberg. After impressing manager Falko Götz during two weeks of trials, Nigeria international Solomon Okoronkwo has been rewarded with a two - year contract by German club FC Erzgebirge Aue, who play in the 2 Bundesliga.

"He impressed during his tryouts and played in all test matches. He is certainly an asset for our attack and a real gain,'' coach Falko Gotz said.

This is Solomon Okoronkwo's second spell in Germany, having represented Hertha BSC for three years, between 2005- 2008.

At around the same time, Falko Götz managed the Beijing Olympics silver medalist, so it's a reunion of sorts for master and pupil.

The much - traveled Okoronkwo previously played for teams in Germany(Rot-Weiss Essen, Hertha Berlin), Norway(Aalesund), Russia(Saturn Moscow Oblast) and Hungary(Pécsi MFC).
Solomon Ndubisi Okoronkwo  is a Nigerian footballer who currently plays for Erzgebirge Aue and the Nigerian national team.
He was discovered in 2004 by FIFA agent Marcelo Houseman, who got his guardianship and took him to Hertha BSC. In October 2004, his agent recommended Okoronkwo to coach Samson Siasia and he was fundamental for Nigeria's U-20 qualifying for the African Youth Championship in Benin 2005. He was also on the Nigerian Under 23 team that won silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.[1] Okoronkwo was called up for his first senior cap in October 2008 by Nigeria coach Shaibu Amodu.[2]
On 28 January 2011, Okoronkwo moved to Aalesund in the Norwegian Premier League.
