2015 :DAVID SABO KENTE IN POLL POSITION IN TARABA STATE
GOVERNORSHIP RACE

CHIEF DAVID SABO KENTE
Chief David Sabo Kente ,Former Deputy
Director,Finance,National Assembly Service Commission is said to be in a pole
position to spring a major surprise as the race for the governorship seat hots
up in the 2015 general elections in Taraba state.
In an exclusive phone interview from Wukari in Taraba State
,Nigeria,Media and Communication Strategist and one of the Coordiantors of
Chief David Sabo Kente Campaign Organization told Paedia Express Multimedia
exclusively that his principal has been endorsed by the political leaders and
elders within the Taraba state South geo-political zone.
He explained that the people of South had never enjoyed the
benefit of ruling the state despite the fact that they were more populated than
the rest of the state.
He disclosed that Taraba South alone had as many as 6 local government
out of the 16 local government areas in the
state and as such having picked Chief Kente as a consensus candidate the latter
was pole position to win.
He revealed that General Theophilous Danjuma,a highly
respected elder from the state within
the ruling Peoples Democratic Party[P.D.P.]has
however endorsed Mr Dahiru Ishaku,a serving Minister in Charge of the Niger
Delta Ministry until very recently.
He pointed out that the political elders in the state as a
whole were rooting for Chief Kente due to his been very close to the grassroots
unlike Mr Ishaku who is seen as an Abuja bureaucrat by analysts.
According to him ,Chief David Sabo Kente has distinguished himself
as a public servant of several years standing ,having served in various capacities
at the state level before transferring his services to that of the Federal government
until he left voluntarily as Deputy Director in Charge of Finance in the
National Assembly Service Commission to contest for the governorship seat of
Taraba state under the platform of the PDP.
He added that as part of efforts to actualize his ambitions ,his
principal has been holding meetings with various interest groups from far and
near as the days for the primary elections to pick the party’s ticket for 2015
governorship elections in the state gets nearer.
The seat of the governorship in Taraba State at the moment
is a controversial one as ailing Governor,Mr Danbaba Suntai has refused to
yield grounds to the Acting Governor.Alhaji Garba Umar.
The Governor who is still recuperating from his Helicopter
crash has since obtained an injunction at the Jalingo High Court putting a restraining order on the speaker ,the
entire state legislature from taking any action against his interest on his office as Governor.
