MAJOR REBELLION HATCHED AGAINST TINUBU INSIDE A.P.C

MAJOR REBELLION HATCHED AGAINST TINUBU INSIDE A.P.C

A major catastrophe may torpedo the dreams of the All Progressive Congress [A.P.C.]of becoming the party in power at the centre in Abuja, Nigeria in 2015.
Investigations by Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos, Nigeria shows that a lot of gladiators within the party are planning on taking on National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the election approaches.
A source said to this reporter that one of his principals was contesting for the plum position of Governor of Lagos state and though he was  aware that he was not favored by the godfather   but quickly added that he was indifferent.
He insisted on his philosophies when  told that he was fighting a lost cause  as Asiwaju Bola Ahemd Tinubu has only one vote and nothing more.
An impeccable source who works at an organization owned by Tinubu told this reporter that APC was almost disintegrating due to a lot of crisis caused by a lack of internal democracy.
He explained that there were those who will leave APC but stay in the party to work against its success.
He cited the example of the last local government elections in Lagos state in which APC lost heavily to PDP due to problems in the party.
Presently, the Governorship primaries has set Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola against his former boss and benefactor,Asiwaju Tinubu as both are rooting for  different candidates in the race to 2015 gubernatorial primaries in Lagos.
The Governor is said to be behind ,Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat while his godfather is said to be rooting for Mr Akinwunmi Ambode,a Former Auditor General of the state whom we disclosed exclusively some months back of having spent three months in the cell of Economic and Financials Crimes Commission [E.F.C.C],the fall out of which he is now been compensated for by his godfather, Ashiwaju Tinubu for protecting him and covering up his arse.
As at press time, indictions were rife that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent words out to all the aspirants to continue to campaign and do there best to win as he was ready to work with any one that emerged as Governor of Lagos state under his party’s banner.
It was gathered that Governor Fashola could not say he wanted to be in the Senate after leaving his position as Governor of Lagos state because he is from the same Senatorial District  as Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the godfather and Emeritus Governor of Lagos state.
A peep into the candidature of frontline candidate ,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode for the coveted position of Governorship in Lagos shows a character lacking in integrity.
A source within Dr Kadiri Obafemi  camp who spoke anonymously told Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos,Nigeria that Mr Ambode was actually told to resign by Governor Fashola instead of been booted out of office as he was guilty of several things which he did not throw light upon.
He explained that aside from the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘s factor ,he was sure that his principal will whip Ambode silly.
In a related issue,a source from the Senator Ganiyu Solomon’s camp told Paedia Express Multimedia exclusively in Lagos,Nigeria that she was sure that her candidate can spring a surprise especially if there was a deadlock between Ambode and Hamzat.
She speaks:”I was at a meeting he held with the Chairmen of the Local Council Development Area where he intimidated them of his desire to seek for an electoral office as Governor”
“He had said that if a level playing field is provided he will most certainly beat all comers hands down,he has a lot of followership in Mushin  and Lagos Island and this are districts that can decide where the pendulum swings in the end”
A source from the Mr Babatunde Fowler camp told this reporter that there boss has being asked by, Tinubu clearly the political war lord in Lagos  to step down as he alone decides who gets what, when and how.
In a related issue, during the Id el Kabir festivities of 2014 recently, it was reliably gathered how Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered that each of the grassroots mobilizer should look for at least 750 people per word to spread their political gospel and in the end at least a sum of N5 million is believed to have been given to each of the wards in the 54 local council in the state with each having at least 20 wards each .
A source  speaks:”in each of the local government area ,you do not have less than 20 wards and each of the ward were given N5Million each for the Eid El Kabir celebrations, Ikorodu people will support Epe as they will be the next in the line of succession, Secretary to the state Government [S.S.G.]will come to the mainland and then the Awori’s will produce the Deputy Governor”
“if Ganiyu Solomon plays his cards very well ,he may likely be the next Deputy Governor of the state,Obafemi Kadiri Hamzat had been previously penciled down for a place in the Federal House of Representatives but with the way the Governor has gone about his case he may not get anything in the end especially now that there is a growing sentiments against him that his father was given a chieftaincy title in his village thus confirming his status as non-Lagosian.
Yet another source wondered why Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola was now biting the fingers that fed him ,as he was asking why Fashola will dare to field Hamzat when he benefited from the same process in 2007,adding that Were it not for Tinubu the like of Fashola may not get the highly respected legal insignia, Senior advocate of Nigeria as he did  was never really a prolific lawyer in private practice.

BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU
Amidst pomp and pageantry , Dr Abayomi Sewanu Sutton ,a bonafide Lagos indigene from Badagry  has declared his
candidature to contest for the position of the Governor of Lagos state in 2015,
While speaking to a cross section of the media that gathered at the lawns of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Dr Sutton said that he was elated that he will now be in a position to give back to the society if elected on the ticket of the All Progressive Congress primaries coming up very soon.
He explained to the media gathering at the event that he will be building on the legacies of the present regime of Governor Raji Fashola.
He pointed out that while he is happy at the progress made so far in the state ,he will use his wealth of experience to boost the state’s tourism road map, educational strength  among other economic indicators.
He revealed that he will use his wealth of exposure to also tackle the age long marginalization that Egun people complained of, insisting that they were all from Lagos and wondered why such should even exist at all.
He rejected the notion that the position of who get the governorship ticket has already been zoned to somebody within the party ,saying that he had been in several meetings with party leaders including Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and there was no occasion in which any of his rivals have been given any form of preferential treatment so far.
According to him , there were 12 of them in the race within the APC ,with a woman involved but did not mention her full identity as at press time.
The rich cultural display of Badagry indigenes was in full glare for all to see as he made his declaration at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism Football ground in Ogba,Lagos

Given his humble background, the thought of attending a highbrow school was out of the question. He had to make do with attending Yaba Methodist Primary School and African Church Grammar School, Ifako Agege, both in Lagos, for his primary and secondary education. He later attended The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he earned a Higher National Diploma.
Determined to equip himself with world class education, the young Sutton fixed his gaze on travelling abroad to attend one of the best universities in the world. Since wherever there is a will there is always a way, he eventually travelled abroad. But initially, it looked as if he was on a descent despite leaving the shores of Nigeria for the United Kingdom.
Telling his story, he says, “I left Nigeria in the mid-1980s mainly to further my education. Three weeks after arriving in London, my cousin, who I was staying with, got me a job at a kitchen to be washing plates. But they call it kitchen porter in London to make it a little bit posh.”
But instead of allowing that to depress him, Sutton, who would never have taken up such a lowly position in Nigeria, gave his best to the job. He recalls, “I became such an expert in this kitchen job that I implored my friends to take it up.”
As the saying goes, those who know where they are going usually get there. Sutton was clear headed about where he was headed. So, despite starting as a kitchen hand washing plates, he pursued his dream of acquiring quality education. So, today in spite of the initial drawback occasioned by his background, Sutton holds five masters degrees from some of the best universities in the world, including the University of Oxford where he bagged a master’s degree in Major Programme Management. He is also in the process of completing two doctoral programmes; one in Project and Programme Management at Skema Business School, Lille, France, where he is expected to submit his project in 2015 and the second doctoral programme, at Sheffield Hallam University in UK, is in Business Administration. He is billed to complete the programme in 2016.
He also holds four post-graduate diplomas. Aside these, he is a Fellow of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) UK, Fellow of Chartered Institute of Housing (FCIH) UK, Fellow of Association of British Engineers (FBEng) UK; Fellow, Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB) UK; Fellow, British Institute of Facility Management (FBIFM) UK; Member, Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) UK; Member, Association for Project Management (PMP) UK; Member, Institute of Revenue, Rating and Evaluation (IRRV) UK; and Member, Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), among others.
Good education is known to be a harbinger of great opportunities; it was not different for Sutton. Having acquired world-class education and highly revered certifications, limitless opportunities have been opened to him, especially in the built industry. He has acquired vast managerial experience in construction, housing programme and project management with broad exposure to planning, programming and contract administration in the United Kingdom.
He eventually rose to the level of a Senior Project manager at Brighton and Hove City Council, UK.
Speaking on how he was able to overcome the limitations foisted on him by his background, Sutton says, “I grew up in Yaba area of Lagos to the belief that you must fend for yourself. My father would not go to any soul to lobby for help, not even from his friends who were well to do. He believed that as a physically able person, you should be a go getter. He used to tell me in Egun language ‘Eendewe’, meaning you don’t have anybody but yourself. So, I grew up with this idea planted in my subconscious mind that I would be great in life.”
Sutton, who says he left Nigeria for the United Kingdom after working a while as a teacher, first at Methodist Girls’ High School, Yaba and later at Nawarudeen Secondary School, Ebute Metta, Lagos, where he taught Economics, adds that he decided to leave the country for the furtherance of his educational pursuit because of his belief that quality education is critical to the realisation of personal goals.
According to him, his graduation at Oxford is one of the high points of his life. Expatiating on this, he says, “My father, Shadrack Oladele Gbenupo Sutton, did not attend any higher college because his parents could not afford it. But funny enough, my father used to write and speak Queens English. That was why tears ran down my eyes during my graduation ceremony at the University of Oxford, Oxford in United Kingdom that I did what my father could not do. A son of a carpenter amidst the children of the high and mighty in the world, not only graduated with honours but with an award from the university.”
Sutton also ascribes his success to his wife, who he holds in high esteem. Speaking of his wife, he says, “God gave me a beautiful woman who has been over the years supportive as a friend, lover, mother, counsellor and wife, who has effortlessly and continually been oiling the wheel of the little achievements we have together recorded.”
Before his relocation to Nigeria, he had been involved in philanthropy, as he availed people from diverse backgrounds of his financial resources to make them live their dreams. As he puts it, “The joy of life is to make others happy; the beauty of life is to help others achieve their goals; no one goes down by raising others; a candle does not lose anything by lighting others. So for me, reaching out to give a helping hand is a culture because I am conscious of the fact that we all, at one time or the other, need somebody to lean on.”
Now, Sutton is looking at taking his service to humanity to a higher level as he hopes to take over from the current governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola.
According to him, this is not just a blind ambition but a desire to hearken to the clarion call of his people.
He says, “Each time I come home from UK, friends, community leaders and political stakeholders in the state have one or two things to discuss with me about Lagos State, having identified some qualities in me, especially the ability to feel for others and to inspire them. I cannot say no to their wishes and aspiration for me.”
He continues, “I have accepted to be drawn into the politics of Lagos State after very wide consultations with God and man. I am ready to use my experience, exposure and God-given wisdom to serve humanity the more on a higher platform and improve on what our party leaders have done on the platform of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.”
Sutton, stressing the need to get the right person to succeed Fashola, said, “If Asiwaju Bola Tinubu could successfully lay the foundation of the New Lagos just yesterday, and today, Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) is building on this solid foundation laid by his predecessor and tirelessly leading us towards a mega city of Lagos, don’t you think a man with exposure, experience, good education, humble and God-fearing should be the one to take over from Fashola? I am the one. I am the person to entrust with the task of safeguarding the foundation laid by Fashola and his predecessor and to build on their achievements to transform this great state of ours.”

CAPTAIN ZORRO

CAPTAIN ZORRO
…………………………………CORPORAL SALARY IN 1970 NOT MORE THAN N38,000
…………………………………..SOLDIERS COLLECT AT LEAST N50,000
……………………………………ALL HARMONIZATION
EXERCISE HAS YIELDED NO RESULTS TILL DATE
……………………………………..OUR ARREARS ARE WITHELD FOR MORE THAN THREE YEARS NOW
…………………………………..FATHER OF 13 CHILDREN,ENLISTED IN THE MILITARY AT THE AGE OF 19
……………………………………ONLY TWO BEDROOM HOME DEMOLISHED BY LASG IN 2007
He is one of the last men standing, at a time Nigeria is bedeviled of a dreaded security challenge perhaps Nigeria can draw from the field experience of a titan in battle.
He will not run away like the current field of soldiers who are afraid of dying on the field of service to there fatherland.
His name is retired Sergeant Joseph Asher Ibukunoluwa  who fought valiantly in the Nigerian Civil war to keep the nation as one in the early 1970s.
During the war, Seargent Ijitola fought in several war fronts principally in areas like Asaba,Okpanam,Ore,Benin,Agbor,Iselukwu,Otolor,Ugwashi Ukwu among others  in the Middle Belt region of the nation ,he served as the Public Relations Officer of the 2nd Division,7th Brigade Division in Asaba .
He revealed to Paedia Express exclusively that he was the first Nigerian soldier that entered the famous Ojukwu Bunker aside from the rare opportunity of serving under a certain Major Sanni Abacha who was to later emerge as Nigeria’s Head of State and Commander –In-chief of the Armed Forces.
According to him ,he was so brave that he was able to survive capture and the disdain of been arrested as a prisoner of war as eh fought himself through this during the war thus earning himself the sobriquet ,Captain Zorro.
He noted that he has battled gun boat attacks from the enemy, fought in the famous invasion of Asaba Textile Mills
He decided to call a day with military service after 27 years of distinguished service ,after having been trained as a football coach in the then University of Ibadan.
Mr Ijitola is also a human rights activist who apart from working with the United Nations briefly as a human rights observer now works with the African based Centre for the Defence on Human Rights  and Democracy in Africa.
He called on the current regime of Dr Goodluck Jonathan to try to do something urgently to honor the memories of his fallen colleagues who died in various battle trying to protect the territorial integrity of Nigeria.
But for all the hue and glory,Sergent Ijitola is almost dying  as he lives in a virtual difficult situation having been abandoned by the nation eh so much served meritoriously in the past.
As a corporal he did not collect more than a paltry N38.000 as compared to this days when a military officer will not even be paid less than N50,000.
He has been to the government salary harmonization exercise but for the past three years now nothing has come out of this.
To cap this up the only two bedroom building that eh was able to put up for all his years of toil as a military officer was demolished by the Lagos state government in 2007.
Who will wipe the tears of Captain Zorro away?
