Nestle Nigeria Plc has continued to promote the relationship between  child and parents union.
In a recent workshop that it organized in Lagos, Nigeria the blue chip affirms that it was the promotion of this kind of ideals that will promote a greater good in our society in the longer term.
Mr Oyewole Oyediran  of the Department of Health Education ,Nestle Nigeria Plc  said that we should learn to give water to a child if that was what he or she asks for very early in the morning.
He urged that a child should not be allowed to leave the house in the morning without any form of food as it was not wise for the child’s growth.
he advised that it was wrong to allow a child to start a day with eating snacks, move around bare footed ,noting that a child should not be poorly treated.
He pointed out that research studies has showed that  a hungry child will never do well at school ,hence a child should  eat a balanced diet on all occasions.
His words:”there must also be an in between snacks like a packet of biscuits ,juice and water, usually some parents do not care about this in between  course meals ,they eat more than adults”
It was learned that a child must take a minimum of two fruits in a day ,while discouraging the habit of giving a child junks to eat as it could result into an over bloated body.
Dr Brai who stood for the President of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria said the workshop afforded them the opportunity to brainstorm with stakeholders on the future of nutrition of our children.
During the period of refreshments ,children were allowed to play in a section of the Hall at the All Seasons Plaza in Agidingbi, Ikeja ,Lagos.
He assured that parents who have attended the program now can no longer claim that they were not aware of the crisis situation if they do not take care of a child very well.
In a related issue, Dr Mrs Gloria Obajimi said that a man must survive irrespective of any form of situation.
She urged parents to allow there children exhibit there God given talents at all times so as to boost there all round development.
She affirmed that engagement in physical exercises will ultimately lead to flexibility as this was key.
