NIGERIAN AVIATION SECTOR FACES GRIM FUTURE
The issue of corruption in the Nigerian Aviation sector is said to be the reason why the  nation cannot assemble its own air crafts.
In an exclusive investigation on the matter by Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos,Nigeria while speaking to two aviation experts among whom were a pilot and an aeronautic engineer,it was discovered that that there were several institutional bottlenecks which was standing against the manufacture or assemblage of a Nigerian aeroplane.
The sources claimed that there was a colleagues of theirs who  produced an aircraft through a self effort three years ago but was refused support by the government because they said that he did not have the right certification.
They explained that when some aviation experts abroad discovered that he was available they swooped on him and today he was abroad doing what he knows best to do.
The duo who worked for a Nigerian airline told this reporter as at September,2014 that Chanchangi Airlines had been out of operations due to bad management  added that more airlines may still follow.
They revealed that Medview Airlines  have an  excellent welfare package which was second to none in the sector  as they fly fewer routes.
The Sources speaks:”They have a serious debt problem hanging over them at the moment, they keep there pilots and other workers in hotels and they have to pay them in accordance to global aviation  practice”
“normally when you write there aptitude test it takes a year before you start to work  but now I have friends that have been waiting for them for over nine months to call them to resume work but this has not happened at all due to the huge debt of the company”
“In the Nigerian Air Force they are building a helicopter at the moment after the success of a drone it recently built called Guluma or Amebo in military circles”
“we have been hearing of a guy that has been parading himself as the youngest pilot in the land from a south African school but this is all a hoax, they are only playing politics with it because they wanted to promote the Niger Delta region”
“I have a friend at Aero Contractors now who was much younger when he left aviation school , I also know a lady from Kano State who is younger so it is all politics”
“Overland Airways run at least eight flights and barring no delays ,we will soon be adding that of the Markurdi route”
The aviation expert disagreed in very strong terms the recent notions that planes can go missing, saying the recent one attributed to Boko Haram in Nigeria crashed and did not go missing as alleged.
In an exclusive interview with Mr Wale Shadare,Aviation Editor of New Telegraph Newspapers in Lagos,Nigeria said that if he was given a gift of $5million he will not dabble into investing in aviation trade as most investors in it were only involved in it more for the ego trip rather than its commercial viability.
