WAR CRIMES NOW LIKELY
IN SUDAN
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU...
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU...
It is now increasingly
very clear that the recently assembled military regime in Sudan has a hidden
agenda, what is cannot be fully ascertained by this reporter but time the great
healer of all wounds will soon tell.
Otherwise ,why ban Al
Jazeera Television from the coverage of Sudanese affairs in the first place.
Al Jazeera 's powerful
satellite receivers and correspondents in Sudan makes it easy for the rest of
the civilized world to know exactly what is happening in the Arab world and in
the Middle East as a whole and by banning them from press coverage ,what
Khartoum has done indirectly in saying that is that Sudan has now entered a new
phase of terror.
Already killings have
already taken place even before the ban on Al Jazeera Television from news
coverage in Sudan as the protests hit crescendo hence any new unwholesome
activity due to the hostilities visited on the people by the government will be largely unreported as if the soldiers
can ban Al Jazeera then they can easily
clamp down on press houses operating within Khartoum in Sudan.
It is a widely known
fact that Al Jazeera is the number one satellite television network in the Arab
world ,reporting to the rest of the world on Arab and Middle East Affairs real
time without blemish.
In an exclusive
posting on the social media recently, highly respected voice in the global
media and chief Executive officer of the Sunbird African Media Limited ,Mr
Richards Mammah warned that except the new Sudanese military top brass thread
very carefully they risk plunging that nation into another round of anarchy as
they ought to have learnt some lessons over challenges they had in the past in
Darfur and South Sudan due to Islamisation.
Of particular interest
to the foremost analyst ,was the fact
the way Sudan was warming up to Saudi Arabia was dangerous as the latter was
said to have collected a lot of goodies recently in foreign aids from the Saudi
Arabian government and Kingdom.
EDITORIAL SHOT:
It is not a crime or a
spiritual crime for Saudi Arabia to do business with Sudan or any other nation
on the face of planet earth for that matter ,so long as the full dictates of
the global laws are fully respected.
The Editorial and
Policy Board of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria
hereby calls on the ruling military regime in the Republic of Sudan to behave
themselves and allow Al Jazeera Television to continue the excellent job that
they have being doing not just in Sudan but elsewhere all around the entire
globe otherwise this medium will be forced to use its organs to press for
sanctions for the military men now in charge in Sudan.
