The ancient land of Ogoja in Cross River State is boiling as at press time.
An investigation conducted by Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos,Nigeria shows that there has been an age –long  land related dispute between the Ogoja people of Cross River State and the Wawa people of Abakaliki in Ebonyi State and this has resulted into the death and disappearance of thousands of inhabitants on both sides of the divide.
A source from the heart of one of the gladiators told this reporter that they really do not know who the ring leaders in this war was but it will appear that a politician who was raised by his parents in ogoja land but who was originally from Wawa in Abakaliki is spear heading a deadly killer squad.
The source said that her aged mother was holed up in the village as at press time and that she feared the worst as the war drums continue to beat loudly between both sides.
She speaks:”just yesterday three people wee killed  and I heard that out of the three one disappeared ,one had her breast cut off and a human head was severed off”
“the crisis erupted again only in January ,2013 and at least 150 soldiers had been stationed by the Nigerian Army on either side of the divide to prevent a fresh crisis but this has not changed anything at all”
“our land is very fertile and I hear that we have an untapped oil deposit in or area and I think this should be one of the reasons they have been killing each other”
“They do not do the killings during the night but in the day time when they know that the people have gone to their various farms,The Nigerian Army warned all our youths not to carry any form of weapons so as to improve the peace in Wawa and Ogoja land”
“The king of Adadama’s daughter was the one who lost her breast and head,so every month they kll an average of two people “
It was learned that Governor of the state,Liyel Imoke who himself is believed to be an indigene has visited the restive area in the course of the crisis on an occasion in the past but it will not be immediately clear what his immediate response are as at press time.
