He was a boy who leant very hard on the streets of Lagos Island that whatever you could not take fairly, you can take by force..

If you think late Chief Funsho Williams died in 2007 just before the elections then you are making a big mistake , he actually died in 1999 when he defeated Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a shadow election conducted by the Alliance For Democracy [A.D.] to determine who will carry the party’s ticket in the elections  but the latter was forced by party  elders on the party and so Late Williams in annoyance left for the rival, Peoples Democratic Party [P.D.P].

In  the 2003 Governorship elections ,Chief Funsho Williams  again flogged   Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu again but he used incumbency factor to pay off the resident electoral commissioner a sum of three hundred million naira thus motivating the latter to switching the results of Ifelodun Local government in favor of the Lion of Bourdillion and self styled National Leader of the All Progressive Congress[A.P.C].

So the fear of deep envy ,jealousy and deep seated hatred  against Chief Williams political wizardry was fired In 2007, At a meeting of close associates in a London event, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu looking rather disturbed was said to have declared that since he could not beat his political rival in an open contest and the same man was going to be competing with his stooge ,Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola later on then he had to do something very fast otherwise he will lose complete relevance.

So a decision was taken and that is to cut short the earthly sojourn of frontline politician,Chief Funsho Williams so as to deny him victory at the polls.

When the information went viral in the grape vine, Mr Tunde Salau, a front line politician who was forced   to step down inside Aso Rock villa at gun point for the latter ,out of concerns and sympathy went to warn the deceased about an impending plan to kill him but  rather unfortunately the victim did not take the news seriously as it will later show.

So the day Williams died, he was on his way to Epe in Lagos state  when he was killed by a gang led by Late Mr Saka Saula ,a known bandit.

His body was severely stabbed  as he was butchered by the savages ,who then twisted his neck to ensure that there was no chance of his survival of the attack  and then the same group of people later transferred the body from the scene of the crime to his home at Association Avenue in Dolphin Estate in Lagos ,Nigeria but conspired with the police to lie to Nigerians that he was killed at home after paying off and compromising the victims personal aides.

In an exclusive investigations by Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos,Nigeria ,an impeccable source who has worked with the Late Chief Williams and also has a lot of inroads into the Tinubu camps operations declared that Pastor Bakare’s bombshell on the politician was very true.

His words:”When Funsho  died,his school mate and childhood pal,Chief Olabode George wanted to compensate the family of the deceased  and so he brought in the wife into the picture,Chief Mrs Hilda Williams but this did not go down well with some sections of the PDP in Lagos”

“So Senator Musiliu Obanikoro whose girl friend at the time was the daughter of the President Iyabo Obasanjo ran to his the then leader for support,Iyabo was even pregnant for Obanikoro but this was aborted  later”

“so obanikoro got the party’s nod and this got Chief Bode George very angry ,so much so that he later sold out the ticket not minding the party’s interest to Tinubu in 2007 otherwise there is no way in the world that Fashola will have won the elections and they all know this”

“In the days and weeks following Chief Williams murder ,Senator Obanikoro upon emerging as the PDP standard bearer in Lagos made sure that all the  known thugs  were locked up”

“Obasanjo had told Obanikoro that he did not know who can help him but that may be God can use Chief James Onanefe Ibori and so he sent for the latter who then promised to help”

The source explained that it was as a result of the betrayal the party suffered in 2007 that led to the loss of Lagos state rather than any other reasons that made Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to make no stone unturned in making sure that he had his pound of flesh against Chief Bode George and Chief James Ibori later on as he ensured that they both went to prison.
