SALARIES:NO SHOW AT TELEVISION CONTINENTAL,THISDAY AFTER FIVE MONTHS,SEVEN MONTHS
The management of Continental Broadcasting services Limited,owners of the brand ,Television Continental and Radio Continental have not paid their workers their monthly salaries in the last five months.
In an exclusive investigations at an even recently,The News Office desk of Paedia Express Multimedia reliably gathered through red hot sources that the workers of both outfit were been owed at least five months pay.
The source who is a good friend of this reporter said that the pay crisis has heaped a lot of burden on him and members of his family of late .
He assured that the de fact owner, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has helped to finance the growth of the firm in the last 10 to 12 years and as such had really done his best in terms of welfare if the truth had to be told.
He put the blame  and problems of the outfit squarely on the marketing department as  he wondered why those in that section felt people like him who were supposed to be in the field of journalism to look for content for programming should now start to hunt for quality media space and advertising.
In his opinion   which was also shared by Paedia Express Multimedia, the duo of Your View and The Big Issue programs could actually pay the salaries  of the groups workers aside from possible payment of dividends to workers at the end of the year if the marketing arm took their jobs seriously.
He added that despite having the best studios ,manpower and equipment s in Nigerian Broadcast media industry ,the company has nothing to show for it because everybody felt that Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a father Christmas  and a  magician who has access to unlimited government funding and patronage .
In a related issue, it was reliably gathered through a source that the management of Leaders  and Company, Owners of the brand ,Thisday Newspapers were also owning workers at least seven moths salaries, with the insider saying that the latest pay problems faced by the firms workers was due to the decision by the publisher to expand its United Kingdom operations .
Arise Television which is operating from London, United Kingdom is believed to be   an entity financed from the proceeds of Thisday Newspapers in Nigeria.
