NEW TRANSPORT SYSTEM TO BE UNVEILED FOR MONROVIA SOON

A new road map is currently being mapped out with a view to
giving the Republic of Liberia a
facelift in the field of transportation.
In world exclusive interview with The Chief Executive
officer of the NewPoll Liberia
Incorporated ,Mr Frank Awode by the News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia
Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria ,the media executive said that the
new blueprint which he is working out with officials of the Lagos State
government will help to change the face of the transit system in Monrovia and
beyond forever.
He told this reporter that at the moment in the entire city
of Monrovia,there was only one good road linking the suburb to the city centre.
He revealed that the transport road map will be unveiled
later on in the year in a major summit that will have the top echelon of the
public and private sector of that nation in attendance .
He pointed out that Liberia had planned to raise a loan to
do a coastal highway but quickly added that this was now on hold right now due
to scarcity of funds.
He assured that in the road map he was working on, the water
transport sub sector was also expected to come alive as it does not exist at
all.
He revealed that the Monrovia Transit Authority was near a moribund situation as at press time
as all stops were being pulled at making sure that investors come into the
sector with a new ticketing system being put in place.
He added that the theme for the programmed summit which he
will be organizing in Liberia will be titled :invigorating a public transport sector
for economic transformation using Lagos state as a case study ,while noting
that it will generally be called the 2018 Liberian National Public Transport
System.
