 DSK Scores Political Points With Gala Night In Wukari.

As the Taraba State SDP Governorship flag bearer Chief David Sabo Kente (DSK) flies higher with a grand rally in Wukari town, the people of the state who were treated to an unprecedented Gala Night have assured him of their mandate for peace to reign in the state.

Speaking in a telephone chat with the Chief Press Secretary to the governorship hopeful, Mr. Henry Ibya disclosed that an unprecedented Gala Night which was part of efforts to boost the peaceful coexistence of the people of the state was held last night with a large turn-out of people from all walks of life.

According to Ibya, “This is to signify that peace has finally returned to the Southern Taraba and particularly to the people of Wukari after several years of crises in the area. It is also to signify that an SDP government will guarantee peace in not just only Southern Taraba but the entire Taraba state.

“Everybody knows that Chief Kente is a peace-loving Statesman who would go all extra miles to ensure peace for the people, particularly as it is through peaceful environment that the much needed dividends of democracy can be achieved for the people.

“You know that the people of Wukari have not enjoyed night life since the out-break of the crisis over the years but as of last night it was like really a new dawn as people defied the urge to remain locked indoors and trooped out to the Gala Night purposely organized by the SDP Governorship candidate, Chief Kente to give them hope and sense of belonging and ready to carry everybody along in the development of the state without any threat to their lives and property.”

The Chief Image Maker of Chief Kente remarked that for some years now the people hardly come out in the night to enjoy themselves with night life for fear of possible attack on their lives, but with the presence of Chief Kente in town and his reassuring of the return of peace to the area like the good old days, the people in their thousands from all walks of life, Muslims and Christians from Ibi, Donga, Wukari and all the other neighbouring communities trooped into Wukari last night to be part of the Gala Night with display of cultural dances by the various cultural tropes in the Southern Senatorial Zone of the state.

In his remarks at the occasion, Ibya said the governorship hopeful asserted that an SDP Government in the state was poised to ensure the return of peace and progress to the entire parts of Taraba State, particularly Southern Taraba, maintaining that peace and justice is the hall-mark of the Social Democratic Party that guarantees the protection of lives and property of the people at all times,  pointing out that the party was coming with deliberate plans that would ensure adequate security and development to the entire people of the state.

He said Chief Kente is of the view that an SDP Government strongly believe that peace is the only panacea for the general development of every given society and would go extra miles to ensure that it is attained in the state as the governorship hopeful is urging for the cooperation of all Tarabans to give him their mandate to become the next governor in the state through the forthcoming governorship election.

According to Henry Ibya, “Chief Kente therefore, urged the people to give him all the necessary support by voting for him and all other contestants of different political positions under the platform of the SDP for the party to bring absolute change that would better their lives and guarantee the much needed dividends of democracy for the development of the state, promising that he would never disappoint the people from realizing all his campaign promises.

“Some people who spoke at the Gala Night were of the view that it was their solemn resolve to attend the occasion to see and hear of what plans the SDP flag bearer would promise the people of the state; they agreed that it was necessary to come and celebrate with Chief Kente whom they know is a man of his words and that from his antecedents, the people will give him the mandate through the ballot box in the next election to govern the state. They said they all trooped out to come and celebrate the much cherished victory in advance.” According to the programme of event marking the Wukari Grand Rally by the campaign train of Chief Kente, a PEACE WALK will start the day’s event by 9:00am, with the governorship hopeful leading the procession along notable streets of Wukari.

Also speaking to this medium in a telephone chat a close relation of the SDP Governorship candidate, Chief William Audu said, “The Gala Night which lasted till mid-night was very, very successful. We’ve not had the good things of life like this for a very long time now, but we are very happy and grateful to God for using Chief David Sabo Kente to take us to the memory lane last night.”

 Chief William maintained that, “The Gala Night was organized to entertain the visitors that came and wanted to be part of the campaign rally of the SDP Gubernatorial candidate at Wukari today, it was organized by the governorship hopeful to give a lease of life and assurance of better future for the people of the entire state; the most beautiful aspect of the whole thing is that the mammoth crowd that graced the occasion was so unprecedented and signifies the yearnings and aspirations of the people for peaceful co-existence, which the governorship hopeful has continued to promise the state.

“The occasion was organized to give a lease of night life to the tumultuous crowd from within and outside the senatorial zone that turned out for the event; one would not believe there could be such gathering in the night in Wukari town again after the long lonely nights following the persistent crises that had bedeviled the Southern Taraba and particularly the Wukari town, but last night it was all joy and happiness everywhere as people agreed that was the kind of assurance they needed to bring back the long eluded life and development to them. It was like the night should not come to an end because it was so good and unprecedented.”

He further remarked that, “the unprecedented crowd was a sign of assurance to the people that DSK meant all his promises of restoring the hope of the people for long-lasting peace and development of the state, therefore they should stand by him and vote him into the Taraba State Government House Jalingo, for good governance that would take the state to the next level, there is no alternative to his candidature, he is the best that cares for humanity and would do everything possible to ensure good life and development for the people of the entire state; he has the ability and capability to do that always as his antecedents stand tall for him before the people of the state and that should inform their decision to deposit their hope in him for good leadership”, Chief William concluded.

The Chief Press Secretary to the SDP governorship candidate, Mr. Henry Ibya remarked that with the unprecedented crowd already on ground with more large turn-out that would join them to witness the grand rally of Chief Kente in Wukari it would be a pointer to the fact that the electorates have acquired the awareness that trust of leadership should better be imposed on credible and eligible individuals and groups and not just the flamboyant posture of any given political party, observing that Chief Kente is truly the choice of the people, come next governorship election in the state, God willing.

Ibya said, “I am urging all good-spirited Tarabans to arm themselves with the INEC PVCs to enable them cast their vote for all the SDP contestants in the state for better and reliable representations at the various levels of leadership positions. Tarabans would never regret their decision to effect change for better future for their citizens as an SDP Government in Taraba will surely and definitely take the state to the next level.”
