IGBOBI CORPS 50 YEARS ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AND LAUNCHING OF N350 MILLION NEW CORPS HALL

THE SALVATION ARMY IS A CHURCH FOUND AROUND THE WORLD

It was a spirit filled experience on Sunday February 08th 2015, as THE SALVATION ARMY, IGBOBI Corps held their grand finale of its 50 years Anniversary and #350 million naira launching and fund raising of new corps hall/auditorium situated at 06, Shipeolu street, onipanu, shomolu, Lagos.
The Golden jubilee programme started with a Band prelude and an opening song with prayer, followed by articles of faith, recognition and band selection. An explicit history of the Igbobi corps was addressed to the audience by CSM Alexandre O. Udeokoro, which was later ensued with Bible reading by COL. Rose-Marie Leslie, the territorial president for women ministries (TPWM).
The primary singing group also gave an awesome performance before the Tithes/offerings were collected. Choruses and Testimonies also took place before COL. Victor Leslie the territorial commander gave a fulfilling message. A memorable Timbrel display was also showcased, which was later proceeded by the key note address from Honourable Seye Oladejo, the special Adviser to the State Governor, His excellency, Baba Tunde Raji Fashola, representing him as the special guest of honour at the occasion.
The anniversary cake was later cut in grand style by the guest of honour and the leadership of the Igbobi Corps, following with various special donations made towards the #350 million naira appeal fund, coupled with launching of the Corps History book and calendar which was all presented by CS Sunny Okim, the Chairman of the occasion and sub-committee.
Other activities that took place include the Vocal Item rendition by the Cadets of Messengers of Light Session. Special prayers, vote of thanks, closing song, prayer and benediction, before it was finally brought to a close end with recitation of the National Anthem…………………..
