KADUNA REMAINS A MAJOR FLASH POINT

1]Do you think that many Christians in Nigeria will agree with the new initiatives you are working on?

They most likely will not understand what am doing now because to the best of my knowledge nobody has ever done that?

Those people who seems to be doing something very similar are secular activists.

The reasons why they will agree with me is that i can recall that Mallam Nasir El Rufai ,The Governor of Kaduna state of Nigeria had recently sent out a bill to the state House of Assembly to regulate religious preaching's across the state..

The bill titled:A bill for a law to substitute Kaduna religious preaching laws,1984.

It is also aimed at banning the usage of loud speakers for religious purposes other than inside the mosques or the church and the surrounding areas outside  the stipulated prayer times.

Governor El Rufai in the bill exclusively wanted the assembly to enact the law that will stop the playing or the circulation of cassettes ,C.D.s ,D.V.D.s ,flash drives or any other communication gadgets containing religion from accredited preachers other than inside one's house ,church, mosque and other designated place of worship.

The bill seeks to ban the sales of the cassettes containing religious recording which is to be used against   any person or religious leader or organizations.

The bill process that anybody found guilty of preaching without a valid license and any other offence under the law shall be liable to 2 years of imprisonment or pay a fine of about N200,000.

Sharia Court and Customary  courts under the bill if passed under the law shall have the jurisdiction to try violators of the law .

Meanwhile some years back, Governor Sanni Yerima passed the sharia law into practice and within a very short time almost all the Northern states of Nigeria did the same thing at the time.

So Governor Nasir El Rufai is trying to do a similar thing against the Church  but now The Christian Defender Initiatives  is coming on board to fight such bad government policies taken against The church of God.

And also ,there was a time that a wrong state policy was passed that the Christians should stop all manner of campus fellowship at The Katsina State University,Katsina.

in addition,their is a man called Mr Jim Obazee ,who had carried out an evil mission of regulating The heads of churches,mosques amongst others  to serve just 20 years in office as Head and who wanted this bill which was passed during Jonathan's era to be passed into law but Buhari asked it should be suspended.

So now,God has now raised somebody like Prophet Ben Luther -Moibi ,The President of the Christain Defenders Initiatives [C.D.I.]to fight out all of this types of injustices.

Recently in Kaduna state ,many Christains had being recently killed as a result of the crisis in and around Kajuru,so all of those type of situations will demand justice and we will be involved all the way.

So if all Christian groups start to criticize me for setting up this initiative then it will be highly unfortunate .

So essentially ,i expect them to join up hands with me so that we can work togther on this big project.

2]Why don't you fold up your hands  And then allow God to fight for You?

God will not fight until you are ready to fight,in the Bible God raised a Jephtah to fight on behalf of the children of israel  and he won the battle eventually .so God can decide to raise any man that he wants and when he does that he will back him up with the enablement.

All of us cannot be the same and so God can raise a Christian charismatic warrior and in this case it is the Christian Defenders initiatives[C.D.I.]

3]What are your targets in this initiative?

We want to be a watchdog looking for any policy that any form of government wants to raise against the body of christ like killing.

If Christains are being persecuted and killed ,the state's involved will be called to order and when the killings have stopped we can take the government to court.

If any bill is to be passed which in our own reasonable knowledge we think will affect The Church then we will be left with no option than to protest against it.

We will use this medium to call on all governments in The North whose states are in turmoil to do all that they can to maintain peace otherwise we will be left with no choice than to go to court.

Because what it means is that if as a Governor of a state whose sole responsibility is to provide security for lives and property is found seriously wanting in this regards then somebody must have to answer into a kind of query.

4]What kind of support base do you think you will need when you get to start serious work?

It is an N.G.O.,hence we will need all the support that we can get from all of our stakeholders.

We will need the human resources potentials of all those who are Christians and have activism written in their blood and D.N.A,we will need the body of Christ to pray along with us as God will have them do at all times.
