Olduvai
Gorge is one of the most respected archaeological sites in the whole wide world.
The
ground breaking and pioneering works of Dr and Mrs L.S.B.Leakey ,both now of
affectionate and blessed memories without a doubt shows that the ancestors of
mankind actually lived here about from about two million years ago as they
hunted side by side each other on the
periphery of a lake in the stone ages.
The
human fossil remains and the stone tools found at different levels in the gorge
shows how human beings developed from the beginning of the stone age to present
day.
Dr
Leakey ,a white was actually born in Kenya and grew u among the native Kikuyu
people and spoke their language pretty well during his lifetime.
He
was largely responsible for setting up the National Museum in Nairobi,Kenya
,but sadly like every mortal departed this sinful world in 1972 at the age of
69 years.
Dr
Leakey's son Richard has also made important discoveries of ancient remains
near Lake Rudolf in Northern Kenya.
This
